Slot Canyon: Little Wild Horse Canyon

This trail was located 5.4 miles from Goblin State Park.  None of us had ever been in a slot canyon before.  "A slot canyon is a narrow canyon, formed by the wear of water rushing through rock.  A slot canyon is significantly deeper than it is wide."
The trail started out in a wide wash with this lone sizable Cottonwood tree.
We encountered many unique cairns/rock sculptures along the way.
Before too long we found ourselves in a wide canyon with many reminders of what the rushing water could do.

As we got farther in the canyon kept getting narrower and narrower.

The water was pretty deep so all the shoes came off and the little people had to be carried.  The water was CCCcccccoooollllddddd!
We kept waiting for him to split his pants.
After working so hard we let our feet warm up in a small spot of sun we found and chowed lunch before the sun disappeared.
We turned around here.  We weren't sure if the kids would be able to do the Bell Canyon loop without tons of complaining and they were having fun weaving between the rocks.
Q wanted to bring this back but three miles is a long way to carry that heavy of a rock!

Waiting for Poppa to squeeze his way out of the slots!
